Foam extinguishing systems, extinguish the fire by covering the surface of the burning surface with the extinguishing foam, that’s to say cutting off the air contact.
Fire-fighting foam is formed by the expansion of the foam solution with water and air under pressure. Therefore, fire-fighting foam consists of 3 main components: foam solution, water and air.
The main features of Sparkling Fire Extinguishing Systems, which have an effective extinguishing effect:

* It cuts the contact of the burning surface with air (Oxygen).
* Prevents evaporation on the burning surface.
* Helps to cool surfaces that are on or around the burning surface.

Foam extinguishing systems are divided into three groups according to the expansion properties of the fire-extinguishing foam.
Low Expansion Foams: Up to 20: 1
Medium Expansion Foams: between 20: 1 and 200: 1
High Expansion Foams: higher than 200: 1
The Foam Concentrate types are being investigated according to the fields or production sources used;
• Protein Based Foam Concentrate (P)
• Flouroprotein Based Foam Concentrate (FP)
• Alcohol and Solvent-Resistant Flouroprotein Based Dog Concentrate (FP-AR)
• Water-based Film-forming Flouroprotein-Based Foam Concentrate (FFFP)
• Saturated Hairy Flouroprotein Based Foam Concentrate (FFFP – AR)
• Aqueous Film-forming Synthetic Foam Concentrate (AFFF)
• Alcohol and Solvent Durable Water and Film-forming Synthetic Foam Concentrate (AFFF-AR)
• Synthetic Based High Expansion Foam Concentrates (Meteor P +)
